Aqua aerobics also referred as AquaFit, is a simple and popular way of keeping fit for years. It is a type of resistance training through which a person can perform strength training and cardiovascular training at the same time.
In addition to the standard benefits of any exercise, the use of water in water aerobics supports the body and reduces the risk of muscle or joint injury. Exercise in water can also prevent overheating through continuous cooling of the body.
According to a new study, researchers have found that water aerobics could reduce the amount of pain-killing medication women request during labour and ease the pain of childbirth.
